OS EXT desktop and theme in progress

October 12th, 2007 Jay Garcia

Being inspired by the awesome looking Start Menu Desktop example from mxracer at the EXT Forums, I decided to create an”OS EXT” (light pun on OS X) version of a desktop model. The byproduct of this will be the “OS EXT” Theme which when complete, will be fully available. Please note that this is HIGHLY Experimental.

Lighthousepropertiesla.com’s upgrade complete

October 4th, 2007 Jay Garcia

After many months of work on LightHousePropertiesLA.com’s site, a new and refreshed article administration tool was deployed.  Using a combination of EXT JS and Max Bazhenov’s Ext.ux.UploadDialog, the process for submitting new properties for sale is a much easier and efficient effort.   For the front end, we used a combination of Prototype, Scriptaculous and lightbox , we were able to provide a slick way of displaying photographs of properties for sale.

August 4th, 2007 Jay Garcia

Erika has decided that she wanted a refreshed logo and site look.  So, we had a new logo developed by some designers, and I began work on the new website. There will be some custom web 2.0 elements added to this version of the  site.

Bebekisses.com 2.0 launches!

March 7th, 2007 Jay Garcia

After much work in incorporating all of the zen-cart data, the bebekisses.com version 2.0 has launched. Here is the breakdown of the features/functions added

> The site now features a custom engineered “Swatch Preview” which allows customers to view product color options in one location. This feature will allow you to see actual shots of these products in use. This type of feature is not new in e-commerce, however, we are using some web 2.0 effects such as “slide” to make shopping fun! This feature was based off of an example provided from the EXTJS Framework documentation .

> I optimized over half of the photos to allow the page to load faster for customers. I’ve reduced the number of web page-related pictures and have gone to a CSS based model. I am committed to optimizing our entire photograph inventory.

> Newsletter subscriptions no longer require full registration.

> Product Searches now fully functional

> URLs are now SEO friendly

> AOL instant messenger incorporated on the site to allow easy communication with the bebekisses.com staff.

> Many other features/functions.
