Bebekisses.com 2.0 launches!

March 7th, 2007 Jay Garcia

After much work in incorporating all of the zen-cart data, the bebekisses.com version 2.0 has launched. Here is the breakdown of the features/functions added

> The site now features a custom engineered “Swatch Preview” which allows customers to view product color options in one location. This feature will allow you to see actual shots of these products in use. This type of feature is not new in e-commerce, however, we are using some web 2.0 effects such as “slide” to make shopping fun! This feature was based off of an example provided from the EXTJS Framework documentation .

> I optimized over half of the photos to allow the page to load faster for customers. I’ve reduced the number of web page-related pictures and have gone to a CSS based model. I am committed to optimizing our entire photograph inventory.

> Newsletter subscriptions no longer require full registration.

> Product Searches now fully functional

> URLs are now SEO friendly

> AOL instant messenger incorporated on the site to allow easy communication with the bebekisses.com staff.

> Many other features/functions.

Bebekisses.com launches!

December 12th, 2006 Jay Garcia

After 1.5 Months of hard work, we have Launched BebeKisses.com for my wife’s newly formed baby wearing company . This site required a complete skinning of Zencart, WordPress 2.0 (web log) and PHPBB 2.0 (Forums) to make them look similar. We did a custom image zoom using
Yahoo’s YUI JavaScript framework.

This deployment of Zencart was heavily customized to provide some proprietary functions for the administrators of the site, which cannot be disclosed.

We were also able to assist with the integration of Google Analytics, PayPal IPN as well as AdWords to advertise the site. A custom survey was created in accordance to the customer’s feedback requirements. We will be developing a custom reporting engine that will use this data to display trends of customer satisfaction.

Future goals: We will be developing custom Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to the storefront as well as forums.
